As a proud Eurovision fan girl, Eurobeat: The Pride of Europe, a quirky comedy musical streamed online, caught my attention immediately.
This satirical show, set in the second least visited European country, Lichtenstein, parodies the format of Eurovision from start to finish. With cringey cultural ambassadors and garish graphics to boot.
Join hostess with the mostess, Marlene Cabana, cow milking champion and costume change addict, in a night of fun. Enjoy 10 silly European performances where you decide your winner and get a bonus results show.
Who’s in the tournament of talent?
Hamilton royalty Christine Allado and Tina Turner sensation Aisha Jawando are some of the many incredible musical theatre stars involved in Eurobeat. You’ll also spot TV faces such as strictly sensation Joanne Clifton, drag racer Tia Kofi, delectable celebs go dating receptionist Tom Wilson and the nations coolest nan from The Circle Scott Paige.
This upbeat show reflects arguably the best thing about Europe, our diversity!
Do any countries slay?
Firstly, the mistress of ceremonies Marlene, played by David O’Reilly’s “Orla Board”, confidently and comically leads the musical as the glamourous host from Lichtenstein.
Sweden kicks the show off as The Elsa of Eurobeat and Norway rocks up a storm in their horned helmets.
Switzerland’s very own pop queen could be the mistaken for a member of Little Mix and Portugal’s boy band reject has the most dreamy vocals.
Vatican City smashes the sister act vibe as naughty nuns and Ireland has to get an honourable mention for making me belly laugh! Think green, folky, river dancing madness.
But the UK’s historic nil points continue to be honoured with the least interesting number of the night…

What’s my verdict?
I struggled to pick a winner – I had lots of favourites! It was a toss up between Portugal and Vatican City, the latter edging my vote.
The musical felt authentic to Eurovision but obviously dialled up to about 1000 percent. Being produced and edited essentially like a TV show made it feel even more realistic.
And for what it lacked in the scale and spectacle it made up for in camp comedy. Although I wouldn’t say no to the introduction of performers singing in their county’s language… just to push the concept even further.
Those booking to watch should truly get into the spirit and plan a Eurovision party. Get your union jack flag and face paint ready to go!
Eurobeat: The Pride of Europe is a night to indulge in feel good fun. A must for fellow Eurovision stans.
