Clearwater Beach in Florida is a gorgeous place to eat, drink and relax. This marked the last part of our road trip before finishing in Disney for two days. So we were ready to chill and nosh down. We actually ended up having the tastiest food of our whole road trip on this little island and here’s my top 6 places.
1. Basimo cafe

Basimo was probably one of my favourite places to eat. It’s a unique, independent and organic cafe with delicious food. They have a great vegetarian selection and super food smoothies. This was the first time in Florida I felt like I was eating healthily. It’s a shame we found it on our last day in Clearwater!

2. Ryan’s island cafe

Start your day off right with a full American breakfast and oversized portions. This is a small, intimate, beach shack style venue where the owner is likely to serve your food and have a chat. They also have a great lunch menu and happy hour. Friendly staff and tasty food. What more do you want.

3. Another Broken Egg

Another Broken Egg is a cool and relaxed chain of restaurants known for their breakfasts and signature morning cocktails. They have a huge menu where we ordered pancakes that came with a side of two eggs and meats. So much food but so yummy.
470 Poinsettia Avenue, Clearwater Beach – FL – 33767
4. Cooters

Cooters is a bold, fun and energetic restaurant and bar. It’s family friendly, has a hearty menu and adjoining sports bar. If you’re looking for tacky cocktails, tasty food and a good time then this is for you.

5. Hot Sake

I got very excited when we found Hot Sake and found out it had only been open a few weeks on our visit. They have super fresh ingriedients, authentic dishes and a large sushi offering too. It’s a tiny place but we managed to grab a seat indoors.
432 Poinsettia Ave Ste.2 Clearwater Beach Florida 33767
6. Badfins

Badfins is a trendy place that was recognized as one of the best new restaurants on Clearwater Beach. Expect great seafood and Mexican food, local craft beers, wines, cocktails and live music. We popped in during the weekly pub quiz too!
215 S. Gulfview Boulevard, Clearwater, Florida 33767
But what is the best thing you should do at Clearwater Beach?
Clearwater is known for its stunning white beach that’s as fine and soft as flour. It feels totally gorgeous underfoot, if absolutely boiling! No wonder it’s been awarded Florida’s best beach by Trip Advisor. So of course this is the number one thing to do in Clearwater Florida but…
Don’t forget Little Toot

I have to admit, in my eyes, Little Toot might just pip beaches to the top spot. After a quick google it became clear Little Toot, even though physically the smallest, was the greatest boat trip in Clearwater, Florida.
Little Toot is a cute tug boat that offers the best chance of seeing Dolphins! They’re attracted to the sound and vibrations of the motors that create waves for them to leap through. And because it’s a small boat you feel extra close to these playful creatures. Can’t recommend enough! Priced at around $25. Book your Little Toot adventure here
